Hulunbuir Grassland: Introduction

Hulunbuir Grassland is located in the northeastern part of Inner Mongolia and is named after Hulun Lake and Buir Lake. It is one of the four largest grasslands in the world and is known as "the finest grassland on Earth." Covering over 80,000 square kilometers of natural pasture, it is dotted with more than 3,000 rivers and over 500 lakes. In summer, the grass is lush and the herds of cattle and sheep are abundant — making it a perfect destination for experiencing grassland life.

The beauty of Hulunbuir is something photos can't capture — endless green as far as the eye can see, with cattle and sheep grazing leisurely under blue skies and white clouds. Every snapshot looks like a wallpaper. The most unforgettable sight is the Morgele River with its winding bends and twists — standing on a high vantage point, looking down at the river meandering across the grassland is truly spectacular.

The best time to visit is July and August, when the grass is greenest and activities are plentiful. You can go horseback riding, watch wrestling performances, stay in a yurt, and join a bonfire party.
